spring fling

I'm gonna combine a bunch of items in this post. The other day while I was sitting in the yard while the pups ran around I happened to notice that some little tulips were up! Yippee !Second it was such a great day that I took the wethrees to play frisbee and romp in the sun.

And last but not least, some of you may know of my stories of a red tailed hawk that frequents my yard quite often. I usually panic when it arrives cuz either my little yorkie, Mindy is out and about and she only weighs 4 1/2 pounds and I worry about little Sydney so I try and keep a sharp eye on days like today. Well, as usual the hawk arrived and hung out in this tree assessing the yard and things going on. It sat in this tree for about an hour not showing any signs of leaving. I think it was waiting for diner !!!

I can't figure out if this is a youngster or those are its winter feathers.

Okay, so I decided to take Tuesday off from work. Hope it is a nice day to spend with the wethrees. Hopefully I will have some fun pics to post. Stay tuned...

Here it is Sunday. My, my how the weekends do fly when the weather is beautiful. Almost makes ya want to call in sick tomorrow. Hhmmm, should we ?? Anyway, it has been a wonderful weekend with lots of things to do. The best was being able to take the we threes to the golf course that is down the street, around the corner from me and let the wild things run with the wind. They had a ball and are very tired this evening.
Last evening, my neighbors oldest daughter was in the school musical, "Horton hears a whoo" so they wanted me to rag along to see her perform sooooooo, I brought the camera. Here's a few shots. I must admit, these kids did a fantastic job!

It was very entertaining to see these kids do a wonderful job. Congrats to all of them and a special one to Brianna G. And a BIG birthday wish to her younger sister Michaela G.

Spring hopeful

Okay, so when I returned home after work today and the dogs were running around feeling dead grass between their toes once again, I decided to go in search of any visible signs of Spring and this is what I found:

It's raining !! Hurray !!! At least it's not white and I don't need to move it with a shovel !!!! Yippeee !!!!

Ughhhhh....... sigh..... It's snowing again....... heavy sigh......

So my Great niece had her 2nd birthday yesterday so I thougt I would share some of her moments. She is such a cutie !!!

This is Avery. She was checkin out the bounty of presents that had appeared.

Mom needed to speed up the card reading stuff and her big sister Samantha was ready to lend a hand.

And then, the eating of the cake.... I think she was a very happy little girl dressed in her princess dress and all and I bet she was also a very tired small one by bedtime.... Happy B'day Avery !!!

Sitting here listening to the sound of the melting that is happening today, YAY, I thought I would share some pics of the gang playing in the snow that just happened this past weekend. Figured it would turn to mud and that will be a whole set of other photos !! So here ya go, enjoy. My guys are so cute when their roughing it up in the deep snow. I swear they think they are Huskies..

Well here we are, I have just spent the better part of the day removing snow from the yard and driveway. I almost thought of not doing the paths for the kids today but when we went outside first thing this morning they were in shock ! I'll tell ya, it was the shortest outside visit we have had. They returned to the deck and just wanted in... So did I....... I keep hoping that if I close my eyes real tight that I will wake up and see grass and green things...... Aahhh not..... Whatever...
I guess the positive side to this was I got to take the day off from work.. Looking forward to sunny and 75.....

So here is a little picture oof what we see when we walk.

Okay, I was gonna wait and put this on tomorrow but I just couldn't help myself. We, all of us, spent the afternoon out in the yard rqaking and picking up branches and twigs that have fallen all winter. Figured I would get some of the clean-up done before the onslaught of snow comes in a day or two. Anyway, the dogs were being good, playing tag and chasing and investigating the smells that have been gone for a long time and feeling grass between their toes again. So, I thought I would take them all for a walk so I gave a yell and young miss Echo came bounding around the corner of the house and look at her !!!! She had either been digging or rolling in the mud with her sister Sydney. The three of them were covered but Echo was the absolute worst. She just looked soooooo proud of her new cloaking device. Anyway, thats it, everyone had a hosen to rinse and a towel dry and in we came. They all seem very satisfied of their day out of doors . Hopefully whatever snow we get will be short lived...

Okay, so as we sit and await yet another snow storm, and most of my friends know how much I dislike the snow scene, I came across some photos that I need to hold onto until this weather thing goes away soooooooo, I thought I would share . Take a look.......

Okay, so I really, really need to be sitting on the dock in Wells, Maine dangling my feet in the water listening to the sound of the ocean... UUgghh, it just seems like it is so far away....

I guess I will just have to dream on....... and I will patiently wait for these little guys to come and visit me and my yard.

This is my backyard and when the sun is out and the temperatures warm it is a really nice place to just sit and enjoy the birds and the quiet. All my boys and girls love running around . Baby Echo always can find something to investigate.














This is my front yard and it is terribly muddy at this time of year. Eeeoooowwww !
At this point I am just waiting for a greener time of year...

We just got home from puppy agility class with baby Echo. She seems to enjoy what she is learning . Anyway, must go iron for work tomorrow and do some pick up around the house. We seem to have taken every toy we have out and brought them into the living room yet we are snoozing at this point. Everyone is so content it would be a shame to awaken them with the sound of the vacuum, ahh, we will wait and do that tomorrow... Oooh, see how easy it is to re-direct and justify putting off the cleaning.... Think I shall settle for the nite and relax. Surely there must be something on cable tonite. Lets have a look... Will make sure everyone is all set for a while and then put my feet up... Later
